History of the Rings
The main Olympic symbol was originally designed by Baron Pierre de Coubertin himself in 1912. The five rings represent the five parts of the world: America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. The colors of the rings are not directly bound with the continents, but one of the five colors is always present on the flag of every participating country. |
